Lady Gaga's Message on DADT

Today, Lady Gaga released a video addressing senate members about the upcoming vote on DADT. This point from message really stuck with me:

“I am here to be a voice for my generation, not the generation of the senators who are voting, but for the youth of this country, the generation that is affected by this law, and whose children will be affected."

  1. Thanks for sharing that, Stephani. Definitely powerful - particularly when she tried to reach her senators. :(

  2. I know! It was so depressing that she couldn't even leave a voice mail message.

  3. I am so touched that she is fighting so hard for equal rights, though. It's nice to see somebody who is that high profile standing up for what's right.

Even though he's not my senator, I sent John McCain a long letter today. I read his biography and thought so much of him at one time. I am so disappointed in him right now.
