This shirt brought back so many memories. My cousin, Traci, and I would sit around for hours playing the old Atari game. Our favorites were, Kaboom, Space Invaders, Pac-Man and Circus Atari. Seriously, though, who can't love stick figure clowns, with square heads? One summer, my shinning moment was when I got a really high score on Kaboom. I had been up all night trying to catch those stupid bombs. I even got a blister on my thumb from the controller. Sad, but true. Still, I long for the old days and those old games. While they make look low tech compared to what they produce today, I loved them in their simplicity.
I totally loved Space Invaders and Pac Man. And Frogger too. Thanks for the memories! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Lily! I totally forgot about Frogger. That one was a classic.
ReplyDeleteWe never had Atari or anything like that, but I played my share of low-tech games on Apple ][e.
ReplyDeleteOh no, Chris! We're going to have to dig up some of the old games for you. I know we have a version of Circus Atari. My kids and I have wasted so many hours on that damn game. My son has the high score of the family. *grumbles* Little punk.
ReplyDeleteNo, no, that's fine. I've given up on games. :) Between all the books I have to read and all the TV shows and movies Jase wants me to watch, I really have no time at all for games!
ReplyDeleteI see your point, Chris, some of those games can be so addicting.I once stayed up all night playing Tetris.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah - Tetris on my pc was evil while I was in grad school...
